Fox ESS EP6 and EP12 Home Battery Storage
Cozy Home Solutions installs the Fox ESS EP series of home batteries: the EP6 and the larger EP12. Both store surplus solar generation, or lower-rate grid electricity where your tariff allows, so you can use it in the evening and overnight.
This page sets out the manufacturer's published figures for each battery, how they are combined for larger homes, and what happens at installation. Every figure here comes from the Fox ESS specification; we do not publish numbers we have not verified.
Fox ESS EP6
The EP6 has a nominal capacity of 5.76 kWh, with approximately 5.18 kWh usable at 90% depth of discharge. Units can be connected in parallel, up to 23.04 kWh nominal.
It suits homes with moderate evening use, or households that want to start with one unit and add more capacity later.
Fox ESS EP12
The EP12 has a nominal capacity of 11.52 kWh, with approximately 10.37 kWh usable at 90% depth of discharge. Units can be connected in parallel, up to 46.08 kWh nominal.
Each EP12 measures 710 x 640 x 185 mm and weighs 98 kg, so the installation location is checked for wall or floor mounting at the survey.

Choosing between EP6 and EP12
The right choice depends on how much electricity you use after your panels stop generating, not on the size of your house. Our battery size calculator gives a first estimate from your own usage, matched to EP6, EP12 or a parallel configuration.
Because both models stack, you are not locked into your first choice. Capacity can be added later, subject to a compatibility check.
Installation and handover
We check the inverter, consumer unit and battery location, install and commission the system, and register the manufacturer warranty in your name. The installation is protected by an insurance-backed guarantee, and battery cover runs to 10 years.
Battery storage installed in a home currently qualifies for 0% VAT, including batteries added to an existing solar system.
